Hi
I am trying to use my MySQL database in Visual Studio 2010 Express but I cannot add the database using the 'Add New Data Source' wizard.
I installed Xampp 2.5 and then created the database in MySQL using this. I have also created some tables and using phpMyadmin. Now I would like to create a user form using VS 2010 Exp so that the data will write to my MySQL db.
I use the Add New Data Source' wizard but I do not get an option to use a MySQL connector when I enter the New Connection screen, I only have 3 connectors (MS Access, MS SQL Compact 3.5 and MS SQL Server File). I have installed the MySQL.NET connector (v6.5.4).
I have tried to re-install the connector, I have tried to remane the old config folders in the Framework folders, but to no avail.
I am new to installing MySQL on a home environment so I am at a dead end.
Please can somebody help me.
Thanks
Jason
