.net/connector 6.4.4 Installation Issue (no replies)

On a Windows 7 system with Visual studio 2010, I get a previous 6.2 version installed on system error and the .net connector 6.4.4 will not install. I have uninstalled all versions of the connector and still the same issue. I have reviewed the gac and found a rogue 6.0.2 version and removed that. Still same install error. If I run the install for 6.4.3... it installs. I remove 6.4.3 and reattempt 6.4.4... same error. This includes rebooting several times to ensure nothing is loaded in memory. Any ideas??
