MySql connection fail (1 reply)

Hi Guys,

I have made a program which connects to MySql database and gets information. I made program in VB.NET and am using MySql Connector 6.3.4.

I gave my program to hundred guys and it worked fine on 96-97 systems. On 2-3 computers its giving the following error "Unable to connect to any of the specified mysql hosts". I tried to solve it but I couldn't.

Scene 1 : User is running Windows 7. Antivirus suit. McAfee. I thought firewall or antivirus maybe blocking it. I disabled firewall and antivirus suit. Still error is there. No proxy is being used. Internet is working okay. I am puzzled.

Scene 2: Windows Xp. User is using pc at office. Removed McAfee antivirus suit completely. Cant find proxy settings in IE setup. Internet is working fine. Enabling/Disabling firewall is not helping. Win Xp maybe part of a domain. Program is giving error "unable to connect to any of the specified mysql hosts"

What should I do ? Any help/advice will be appreciated.
